About me

workingRecently my 11 year old daughter asked me what I would do if I only had one year to live.  You can imagine my surprise by the fact that she already had her “bucket list”, I guess she is, after all,  a very mature 11 year old.  But after some thought I was even more surprised and gratified by my answer.  Her question made me realize that I was already doing exactly what I would do if I only had a year left on earth; traveling and exploring with my family as much as possible.  I have 4 children, an 11 year old daughter, 9, 6 and 4 year old sons.  We go everywhere, domestic, overseas, bus, train, plane and automobile.  I hope that through sharing my traveling experiences I will inspire other moms to take their kids on vacation beyond just the trip to Disney (not that I don’t love Mickey as much as the next guy).  My desire is that you will find stories that inspire you, and the resources to help you make your own travel dreams come true. Traveling with your family sounds daunting, but it can be more fun and rewarding than you ever imagined.

My wife and I have recently found out we are expecting. We are obviously excited for our new addition. The one aspect of our lives that will be impacted is our ability to just pick up and go! We would take weekend trips to NYC, we’ve been to the Caribbean a couple of times, and just the overall “in the moment” get up and go. Though the dynamics of our family will change, we both feel our baby should adapt to our lifestyle and we will continue to impress this on our little one. Easier said than done especially for two ‘30-somethings’ having their first child. Looking forward to the challenges though! Happy travels!
